This conceptual project focused on developing a functional prototype of an automated industrial blind using fabric, wood, and embedded electronics. The system featured emergency stop mechanisms, automated raising functionality, an LCD display, and ultrasonic sensors to detect the curtain’s current position—all managed through an Arduino microcontroller.
I built the prototype structure, integrated ultrasonic sensors for real-time position tracking, and programmed the Arduino to control the blind’s movement based on user inputs and safety conditions. I also implemented an LCD interface to provide feedback and designed the emergency stop function to prioritize user safety and system reliability.
