This project focused on the construction and operation of a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) built with PVC tubing, designed to perform tasks in a swimming pool environment. The ROV was powered by a lead-acid battery and controlled through a tethered Ethernet cable, which transmitted signals to motors via three-state toggle switches.
I contributed to the mechanical assembly using waterproof techniques with PVC, configured the electrical wiring between the motors and control interface, and helped implement the control system using triple-position levers for directional control. The ROV successfully performed underwater maneuvers and basic task operations, showcasing effective team-based prototyping in a challenging environment.
