During my time at Magna CIMS, I developed a prototype of a 3D scanning rig intended to streamline quality assurance processes on the production floor. The system leveraged Kinect sensors to generate point clouds of components, enabling faster and more accessible geometric inspection. The rig was designed for cost-effective implementation and adaptability within existing workflows.

I designed the mechanical structure using SolidWorks, fabricated components through 3D printing, and tested the scanning system using point cloud data acquisition. My contributions bridged mechanical design and digital processing to support real-time quality evaluations.
